A former Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, has taken a swipe at a former Kano State Governor and present National Chairman of the ruling APC, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, and his supporters, accusing them of attempting to hijack power despite losing the gubernatorial election.

In a scathing remark, Sanusi criticized the actions of the governor and his associates, alleging an unjustifiable power grab.

The remarks came at a time when political tensions were escalating in the state, following the hotly contested election that saw Ganduje secure a second term in office.

Sanusi, known for his outspoken nature, did not mince his words as he mocked the governor and his allies for their alleged power-hungry maneuvers, despite the electoral setback manifested by their loss.

The verbal onslaught is expected to further stoke the flames of an already volatile political climate in Kano, with potential ripple effects across the Nigerian political landscape.
