Represented by the Mandate Secretary, Education Secretariat, FCTA, Dr. Danlami Hayyo, Mr. Wike emphasized the initiative’s alignment with global trends in digital teaching and learning. The smart school, to be situated in Karshi under the Abuja Municipal Area Council, will be furnished with boarding and digital facilities for e-teaching and learning.
The allocated N1.7 billion is part of the N13.1 billion designated for the renovation, rehabilitation, and construction of new schools in the FCT in 2024. Furthermore, Mr. Wike acknowledged the academic excellence of the students, emphasizing the value of balanced and holistic education. He highlighted the significant impact of sports in instilling values such as discipline and teamwork, shaping individuals who are not only academically proficient but also mentally and physically resilient.

The Education Secretariat recognized and celebrated the students to motivate them towards further excellence and honor the teachers for their dedication to quality teaching.
The successes of the public junior and senior secondary schools were noted, as students achieved top positions in numerous national and international quiz competitions in 2023. Additionally, students garnered various prizes and awards from national and international school sports competitions, reflecting their well-rounded capabilities.
In conclusion, the commitment to fostering an environment that nurtures talents, promotes excellence, and prepares students for future challenges and opportunities was reaffirmed.
