Amid ongoing speculations about Thomas Partey’s future at Arsenal, former Gunner Ray Parlour has weighed in on a possible replacement for the midfielder. With Partey frequently linked to a potential departure, Parlour has proposed Everton’s Amadou Onana as a suitable candidate to step into the void.
Parlour, expressing his views to The Sun, highlighted the significance of having a formidable midfield presence should Partey depart the Emirates. He emphasized Onana’s potential to seamlessly complement Declan Rice in the Arsenal midfield, should the need arise.
Speaking about the hypothetical scenario, Parlour said, “I certainly believe the midfield area definitely if Thomas Partey does leave because he’s an important player when he plays. He is a dynamic player in that midfield, he’s very good at sitting back and getting back into the back-four and probably Declan Rice can push forward a little bit more. Onana has been mentioned from Everton who is having a good season. I like him he is quite a good player in that midfield area.”
Parlour’s suggestion has ignited discussions among football enthusiasts, raising anticipation about potential roster changes at Arsenal in the upcoming transfer windows. As the football world eagerly awaits the unfolding of this narrative, the spotlight remains on Arsenal’s strategic moves in reinforcing their midfield prowess.
