Victor Gyokeres Shuts Down Chelsea Transfer Rumors

Victor Gyokeres, the standout striker for Sporting Lisbon, has addressed the widespread speculation linking him to a possible transfer to Chelsea, firmly asserting his commitment to his current club. Recent reports had suggested that Chelsea made a substantial £73m offer to secure Gyokeres’ talents.

Gyokeres made a remarkable transition to Sporting Lisbon from Coventry City last summer, following a prolific season with 21 goals for the Sky Blues in the Championship. His impressive form has continued in Portugal, notching up an astounding 22 goals and 10 assists in 25 appearances this season.

When questioned about the rumored interest from Chelsea, Gyokeres emphatically stated that he remains fully dedicated to Sporting and is solely focused on the team’s upcoming fixtures.

In a statement to Sport TV, the Swedish star dismissed the swirling transfer speculations, saying, “I don’t think anything about it. I’m here and we have important games to play, I’m focused on that. There’s a lot of talk on social media and elsewhere, but I am not focused on that. I don’t think about anything else. I’m here right now. I am 100% focused on this and the club.”

Gyokeres’ resolute commitment to Sporting Lisbon is evident, marking a clear indication that he is staunchly focused on delivering his best for his current club, dispelling any rumors of an imminent move to Chelsea.
