In a recent interview on Channels TV’s Politics Today, Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, made a definitive statement about his political future. He emphasized that he had no intentions of pursuing any other political office once his tenure as the state governor concludes.
Governor Sule expressed his commitment to serving solely as a governor, ruling out aspirations for roles such as chairman, senator, or member of the House of Representatives. He further dispelled any speculations about vying for the presidency, stating firmly that such ambitions were not part of his future plans.
“I have no dream of becoming even president. I have no dreams for that. I can tell you categorically that Abdullahi Sule would not go for Senate after leaving office,” Governor Sule affirmed, resolutely shutting down any conjecture about his potential candidacy for senatorial positions.
Asserting his disinterest in pursuing a senatorial role, he declared, “By the time I finish my eight years, I can do whatever I want to do.” Governor Sule encouraged the public to hold his statement as a veritable assurance, asserting, “You can take it from me confidently that I have no intention to run for the office of a senator. You can keep this tape and play it one day.”
With this unequivocal declaration, Governor Sule has laid to rest any speculation about his future political aspirations, positioning himself as a leader singularly focused on fulfilling his current gubernatorial responsibilities in Nasarawa State.
