Azeez Audu, the head coach of Wikki Tourists, expressed his admiration for the team’s performance, following their 1-1 draw against Zamfara United. Emphasizing that the players adhered to the game plan, Audu lauded their dedication and effort in securing a crucial point.
The match saw former Shooting Stars forward, Promise Damala, netting the opening goal for Wikki Tourists in the 15th minute. However, Zamfara United managed to secure an equalizer through Abdullahi Ayoyo from the penalty spot towards the end of the game.
In a post-match interview, Audu remarked, “We are grateful for the victory, and the single point gained is a testament to our hard work. My boys executed the game plan flawlessly and demonstrated unwavering commitment.”
Looking ahead, Audu added, “We will return to Bauchi, regroup, and focus on the upcoming fixtures in the second round. Our goal is to secure a spot in the playoffs and ultimately reclaim our spot in the NPFL, by the grace of God.”
