Nigerian Defender Ekerette Udom Transfers from Sunshine Stars to Rivers United

Nigerian football club Rivers United has reached an agreement to secure the services of defender Ekerette Udom from Sunshine Stars in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

The move, which is set to be finalized later this week, signifies a significant transition for the towering defender who played a crucial role in Sunshine Stars’ qualification for the NPFL Championship playoff last season.

Udom, who had a brief stint in the Slovenian league before returning to Akure, has demonstrated his prowess by scoring once in nine appearances for Sunshine Stars in the current campaign.

Notably, the 20-year-old talent has previously showcased his skills while playing for Akwa United and Vandrezzer.

Udom’s transfer stands as a testament to the growing significance of Nigerian talent in the global football arena, and it marks a new chapter in his promising career as he joins Rivers United.
