Alake further revealed that Mine Inspectorate Officers have been directed to collaborate with the Oyo State Government in the ongoing investigations to ascertain the remote causes of the explosion. He emphasized the need for a comprehensive investigation, particularly focusing on the possibility of the explosion being triggered by mining explosive devices.

The minister reassured the Nigerian populace of the government’s unwavering commitment to taking decisive actions, underlining the necessity of awaiting the investigation’s findings before making conclusive statements. He urged citizens to allow security agencies and relevant authorities to conduct their duties diligently, acknowledging that speculations often arise in the absence of complete information.
