NNL Calls on Clubs to Utilize Transfer Window for Squad Strengthening

As the Nigeria National League (NNL) gears up for the second half of the season, the 40 competing clubs have received a vital directive to leverage the transfer window for bolstering their squads.

Dr. Ayo Abdulrahaman, the Chief Operating Officer, emphasized the importance of fortifying their teams during a discussion with the NNL media. He expressed gratitude to the clubs for their cooperation, which contributed to the successful conclusion of the first half of the season.

Abdulrahman also announced that the commencement date for the second half of the season would be disclosed in due course. He assured that all groups would commence on a uniform date after the conclusion of matches in Conferences A & B in the next two weeks.

Currently, Wikki Tourists leads Conference C with 16 points, followed by El-Kanemi Warriors and Nasarawa United in second and third places with 15 and 14 points, respectively. Conversely, ABS FC, EFCC, and Nigeria Air force (NAF) outfit find themselves grappling in the relegation zone.

In Conference D, Sporting Supreme leads with 14 points, followed by Sokoto United with 12 points and Adamawa United with 11 points. Meanwhile, Kebbi United, City FC, and Malumfashi FC are facing the grim prospect of relegation.

The upcoming transfer window presents an opportunity for clubs to strategically reinforce their squads and enhance their competitive prospects. As the NNL prepares for the enthralling second half of the season, all eyes will be on how the clubs utilize this crucial period to optimize their teams.
