Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, faced criticism from former Manchester United star Rio Ferdinand following a visit to the Nusr-Et Steakhouse in Abu Dhabi where he met with Turkish chef Salt Bae during the team’s winter break in Dubai.
Arteta, who took the Arsenal squad for a warm-weather training camp, allowed Salt Bae to feed him a piece of meat in a style that Ferdinand described as ‘stupidness.’ “Pep Guardiola or a Manchester United manager would not do what Arteta did,” Ferdinand stated.
In an interview on Vibe With Five, Ferdinand expressed his disapproval of Arteta’s actions, citing his personal experience of having Salt Bae at his own wedding. He emphasized that such behavior would not be expected from managers of other top clubs and questioned the decision-making of the Arsenal boss.
