In a commendable display of proactive strategies, the police in Adamawa executed a successful operation to dismantle a criminal hideout situated at Kona mountain in Jada Local Government Area. This resulted in the rescue of two kidnapped victims and the neutralization of three kidnappers. The operation, conducted by the Command operatives attached to the Crack Squad and Hunters of Tabbital Pulaku Association, signifies a significant triumph in the ongoing battle against crimes such as kidnapping, armed robbery, and unlawful possession of firearms.

According to SP Suleiman Nguroje, the command’s spokesperson, the targeted rescue was initiated following the abduction of Umar Jibo (18) and Idi Hassan (13) from a cattle ranch on Jan. 24. Upon spotting the police rescue team, the kidnappers engaged them in a gunfight, leading to the neutralization of three perpetrators while others managed to evade the operation with bullet wounds. Miraculously, the two victims were swiftly rescued unharmed, marking a pivotal accomplishment for the police force.

The Commissioner of Police, Afolabi Babatola, lauded the bravery and gallant performance exhibited by the officers and hunters involved in the operation. He urged them to uphold this momentum as a strategic approach in curbing criminal activities within the state. Additionally, Mr. Babatola urged the public to provide timely information to the police, particularly regarding the whereabouts of criminals and their potential hideouts.

This remarkable feat stands as a testament to the unwavering dedication of the Adamawa police force in safeguarding the lives and properties of the populace. The successful rescue operation not only signifies a crucial win in the fight against criminal activities but also highlights the pivotal role of community collaboration in ensuring the safety and security of all citizens.
