Rangers FC Launches Youth Team Development with Enugu Screening Event

Rangers Football Club is embarking on a significant initiative to establish its U-13, U-15, and U-17 teams, signaling a commitment to nurturing young talent. The General Manager, Barrister Amobi Ezeaku, unveiled this ambitious plan in Enugu, underscoring the club’s dedication to cultivating a robust youth setup.

The screening exercise is slated to occur at the Rangers training pitch on January 30, 2024, marking a pivotal moment for aspiring young footballers vying for a spot in the esteemed club’s developmental squads. This move aligns with Rangers’ vision to fortify its youth program and uphold its pledge to foster emerging talents.

Notably, Rangers FC is set to participate in the inaugural Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) youth league. Placed in Group E alongside formidable rivals such as Abia Warriors, Heartland, and Enyimba, the Flying Antelopes are poised to demonstrate their prowess in nurturing emerging talents.

The NPFL youth league features twenty teams, segmented into five groups comprising four teams each. With the competition scheduled to commence on February 1st, 2024 at various venues, Rangers’ foray into this arena underscores their proactive approach in honing the next generation of football stars.

This strategic move not only augments Rangers’ developmental agenda but also bolsters the club’s long-standing legacy.
