Usman Ahmed Ododo Takes Oath as Kogi State Governor

In a historic moment for Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has been sworn in as the fifth democratically-elected Governor. The inauguration took place at the Muhammadu Buhari Civic Centre in Lokoja, the state capital, with Kogi State Chief Judge, Justice Josiah Mejabi officiating the ceremony.

The atmosphere was charged with excitement as a mammoth crowd of dignitaries and well-wishers gathered to witness this pivotal event. The oath of office was administered to Governor Ododo at precisely 2:27 pm, following the swearing-in of his Deputy, Elder Joel Salifu Oyibo, at 2:18 pm.

Notably, Vice President Kashim Shettima, standing in for President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, graced the occasion with his presence, adding to the significance of the moment. This marks the beginning of a new chapter for Kogi State, as Governor Ododo steps into his role with the promise of leading the state towards prosperity and progress.
