The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has strongly criticized Femi Adesina, former President Buhari’s media aide, over his revelation that Buhari prevented attempts to eliminate Nnamdi Kanu, a prominent pro-Biafra figure, labeling Adesina’s book as “toilet paper.”
In a scathing response, IPOB’s spokesman, Emma Powerful, dismissed Adesina’s book “Working with Buhari: reflections of a special adviser, media and publicity (2015-2023)” as insignificant, stating that no rational person would consider purchasing it. Powerful emphasized that Buhari’s government comprehended the ramifications of eradicating Kanu and opted for his arrest instead.
Powerful highlighted, “Kanu is bigger than him and his masters. Without tangible development in Nigeria after eight years of governance, they are unarguably the most hated administration in all of Nigeria’s miserable existence.”
Moreover, Powerful underscored the futility of Adesina’s attempt to gain favor by mentioning Nnamdi Kanu in his book, emphasizing that it has turned into a symbolic “toilet paper.”
The statement further conveyed IPOB’s satisfaction that Buhari’s administration failed in its alleged attempts to eliminate Kanu. It also emphasized Adesina’s exposure of what it termed the “devilish agenda” of Buhari’s government against Kanu.
Additionally, the spokesman articulated IPOB’s awareness of various unsuccessful attempts to eliminate Nnamdi Kanu and its disdain for the administration’s actions.
IPOB’s unyielding stance signifies a deep-rooted resistance against any attempts to suppress its movement and the Biafra struggle. With these strong rebukes, it seems IPOB will continue to vehemently oppose any form of oppression or persecution.
