Perform well or get sacked – Gov Namadi to commissioners, other appointees

He issued the warning on Tuesday after signing a performance bond by heads of ministries, departments, and agencies held at Government House, Dutse.
He said the performance bond was meant to commit officials to be dedicated in their respective places of assignment.
He explained that all the appointees who signed the bond would be assessed on a quarterly and yearly basis to ascertain their performances.
According to him, “Today we will be signing an Executive Order and performance bonds to give effect to the performance measurement framework that we have instituted.
“The Executive Order is meant to establish a Results Delivery and Performance Management Coordination Unit under the Office of the Executive Governor.
“The Unit will be charged with the responsibility of coordinating and managing a performance measurement tracking system to ensure effective delivery of results.”
He noted that any appointee performing below standard would be sacked.
