Chelsea Midfielder Moises Caicedo Tipped as EPL Season’s Likely Flop by Ally McCoist

Ally McCoist, a former Rangers Striker, has controversially labeled Chelsea’s midfielder, Moises Caicedo, as the potential flop signing of the season, diverging from popular opinions about Manchester United’s goalkeeper, Andre Onana. Caicedo was acquired by Chelsea from Brighton & Hove Albion in the summer of 2023 but has failed to impress at Stamford Bridge.
In a conversation with talkSPORT BET, McCoist expressed his view, “Andre Onana has been nothing like the signing everyone thought he would be for Manchester United but I am not giving him ‘flop of the season so far’, I think that is ever so slightly harsh. But Moises Caicedo, I saw him a couple of times, particularly at Old Trafford with Enzo Fernandez in the middle of the park, and both of them were, for a quarter of a billion pounds, not great… Caicedo would certainly get my vote over Onana.”
Similarly, Onana, who moved to Manchester United from Inter Milan in the summer of 2023, has been tasked with replacing David de Gea at Old Trafford.
