Tanzanian Volleyball Team Presses On Despite EACoG Postponement

In the midst of the postponement of the East African Community Games (EACoG), the Tanzanian national men’s volleyball team persists in their training for the international event. Originally set to take place in Kigali, Rwanda, the games encompass various sports disciplines, with the Tanzanian volleyball team prepared to compete against fellow East African Community (EAC) member countries.

The team’s technical director, Zacharia Bizimana, confirmed the postponement and the uncertainty of the new host country. Despite this setback, Bizimana emphasized the team’s commitment to remaining prepared for the rescheduled games and other international commitments. The team continues their training programs in Dar es Salaam under the guidance of national team coach Alfred Selengia.

Omary Bure, a professional volleyball player, and other team members are rigorously preparing for the competition, showcasing their dedication to representing Tanzania on the international stage. The games play a significant role in fostering East African unity and development, emphasizing the value of regional integration and broad participation among the East African people.
