Arsenal’s Arteta Sanctions Permanent Departures of Runarsson and Azeez on Transfer Deadline Day

Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, has given the green light for the exits of two players on transfer deadline day. The Gunners have terminated the contract of goalkeeper Alex Runarsson, who returned to the Premier League club after Cardiff ended his loan spell prematurely. The Iceland international, who joined Arsenal in September 2020, is set to sign a three-year deal with FC Copenhagen.
