Kaduna State Governor Appoints Umar Hassan as Deputy Chief of Staff

Kaduna State’s Governor Uba Sani has named Umar Hassan Waziri as the new Deputy Chief of Staff (Administration), effective from January 24, 2024. Waziri, who previously served as Kaduna Stateโ€™s Accountant General from 2015-2019, is recognized for leading the implementation of the Treasury Single Account (TSA).

Hassan Waziri, a seasoned public servant and Chartered Accountant, brings over 20 years of experience in Auditing, Accounting, Finance, Energy, and the Public Sector. His appointment is attributed to his exceptional leadership qualities and extensive experience in public administration and the financial sector.

With a solid educational background from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, including a B.Sc in Accounting and an M.Sc in Accounting and Finance, Waziri’s professional journey also encompasses roles as the Managing Director/CEO of the Kaduna Industrial and Finance Co. Ltd and Chief Financial Officer at FGN Power Company Limited.

Governor Uba Sani expressed his confidence in Waziri’s abilities and urged him to execute his responsibilities with the highest standard of diligence, honesty, and dedication to service.
