Kcee Confronts Harrysong’s Claims of Songwriting, Urges for Unity

Kingsley Okonkwo, popularly known as Kcee, has strongly criticized his former protege, Harrysong, for asserting that he authored many of Kcee’s chart-topping tracks during their time together at Five Star Music. The ongoing dispute stems from Harrysong’s persistent accusations against Kcee and his brother and business partner, E-Money, regarding ownership of his musical creations.

In the recent episode of the Afrobeats podcast, Kcee vehemently rebuffed Harrysong’s assertions. He clarified that during his victorious stint on the Star Quest talent show with his former musical partner, Presh, Harrysong was residing in his ancestral village with his grandmother. Kcee further underscored that following his success, he went on to release three albums under Kennis Music, questioning whether Harrysong was behind the creation of those albums.

Emphatically, Kcee highlighted that Harrysong’s departure from Five Star Music occurred eight years ago, yet he continues to produce hit songs independently, dispelling the notion that Harrysong’s songwriting prowess significantly shaped Kcee’s musical career. Moreover, Kcee expressed concern for Harrysong’s well-being, citing ongoing conflicts with his spouse and former manager, Soso, underscoring the need for empathy and support.

Kcee’s assertion concludes with a call for compassion and solidarity, emphasizing the necessity of extending prayers and goodwill towards Harrysong amid their publicized discord.
