Nyesom Wike Issues Warning Against Sabotage in FCT Project Execution

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has issued a stern warning against any form of bureaucratic sabotage in the execution of projects within the FCT. He has emphasized that he will not tolerate such actions and will take decisive measures to prevent sabotage.

During the flag-off ceremony for the construction of the 7.2-kilometer Gaba-Tokula road in Bwari Area Council of the Territory, Wike directed the Directors of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) to expedite payments to contractors working on various projects in the FCT. He urged them to ensure that delays are minimized to facilitate the smooth execution of the projects.

In a firm tone, Wike underscored the urgency of the situation, stating, “This is not a period where you bring bureaucracy into what we are doing.” He expressed his dissatisfaction with the prolonged processing of payment files, stressing the negative impact it has on project progress and the communities they serve.

Wike made it unequivocally clear that anyone found sabotaging their efforts would face consequences, asserting, “I’m not going to tolerate that. Anybody who sabotages our efforts will also be sabotaged.” He urged all personnel involved in the projects to take their responsibilities seriously and expedite processes to ensure smooth project execution.

The minister’s resolute stance against sabotage in FCT projects demonstrates his commitment to efficient and effective project delivery, underlining the significance of timely and seamless execution for the benefit of the communities involved.
