The Peoples Democratic Party’s National Working Committee (NWC) has approved Mr. Ajisafe Toyese from Osun State as the party’s National Vice Chairman for the South West region. The announcement was made by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Debo Ologunagba, in a statement released in Abuja on Saturday.
According to Ologunagba, the appointment of Toyese was ratified by the party’s Working Committee on behalf of the National Executive Committee (NEC). This decision came after the sudden passing of the former Vice Chairman of the zone, Mr. Soji Adagunodo, on May 20, 2023.
The party emphasized that Toyese’s appointment was confirmed during the recent meeting of the South West Zonal caucus and aligns with the provision of Section 46 of the party’s Constitution, as amended in 2017. The PDP hailed Toyese as a dedicated party member who has served diligently, including as a member of the 2023 Presidential Campaign Council.
