Super Eagles Aim for AFCON 2023 Title, Says Troost-Ekong

Nigeria’s national football team, the Super Eagles, led by William Troost-Ekong, is determined to clinch the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations title. Following a hard-fought 1-0 victory against Angola’s Palancas Negras, securing a spot in the semi-finals, Troost-Ekong expressed the team’s aspirations.

“We have demonstrated solid defensive capabilities and shown attacking prowess, reflecting the qualities of a formidable team,” the center-back conveyed to media personnel. “I am impressed by the team’s fighting spirit and unity. We are focused on progressing towards our ultimate goal.”

With Troost-Ekong’s presence in four AFCON 2023 matches, the Super Eagles remain resolute in their championship pursuit.
