The 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) has reached its semi-final stage, setting the stage for a fierce battle among four teams vying for a spot in the final.

In the previous matches, host nation Cote d’Ivoire staged a remarkable comeback to eliminate Mali, while South Africa secured a hard-fought victory over Cape Verde. The Super Eagles of Nigeria claimed a spot in the semi-finals with a 1-0 victory against Angola, and DR Congo staged a comeback to beat Guinea 3-1.

Nigeria, the highest-ranked team in the tournament, is set to face perennial rivals, South Africa, at the Stade de la Paix, Bouake, on Wednesday at 6pm (Nigerian time). Meanwhile, hosts Cote d’Ivoire will clash with DR Congo at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium, Abidjan, in the second semi-final fixture at 9pm (Nigerian time).

The schedule for the semi-finals is as follows:
1. Nigeria vs South Africa at Stade de la Paix, Bouake, 6pm (Wednesday, Feb. 7)
2. Cote d’Ivoire vs DR Congo at Alassane Ouattara Stadium, Abidjan, 9pm (Wednesday, Feb. 7)

The third-place play-off is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 10, at the Felix Houphouet-Boigny Stadium, Abidjan, at 9pm. The final match will take place on Sunday, Feb. 11, at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium, Abidjan, at 9pm.
