PDP’s Musa Kallamu Emerges Victorious in Adamawa’s Mayobelwa 2 Constituency Rerun Election

In a significant electoral win, Musa Kallamu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has secured victory in the Mayobelwa 2 Constituency rerun election for Adamawa State House of Assembly. The Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) Returning Officer, Prof. Mohammed Baba-Ardo, confirmed Kallamu’s success after he garnered 13,06 votes, surpassing Ibrahim Italiya of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who secured 874 votes. Kallamu achieved success in six out of seven conducted polling units. The total registered voters in the area were 5,024, with 2,252 voters accredited and 2,192 valid votes recorded, along with six invalid votes. This electoral outcome followed the election petitions tribunal’s decision, which mandated a rerun in seven polling units within the constituency.
