Lagos Police Seize Expired Drugs

Two suspects have been apprehended by officers from the Okokomaiko Division of the Lagos State Police Command after they were found in possession of seventy cartons of expired drugs.

The command’s Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, disclosed this in a statement on Sunday, noting that the interception occurred at Afromedia. The officers uncovered seventy cartons of Feed Fine Cyproheptadine Caplets 4g, all of which had expired in 2016, during a search of a Volkswagen LT bus at 5:40 pm.

Upon questioning, the two occupants confessed that they were en route to Alaba to change the expiration dates on the drugs, before proceeding to sell them in Port Harcourt. Hundeyin stated, “Efforts are on to arrest the owner of the drugs, the individual altering expiry dates and other indicted persons.”
