Nigerian President Tinubu Mourns the Passing of Namibian President Geingob

President Bola Tinubu expressed his condolences to the people and government of Namibia following the passing of President Hage Geingob at the age of 82. Tinubu praised Geingob as a veteran democrat and champion of African unity, emphasizing the need for more visionary leaders on the continent. Geingob, Namibia’s founding prime minister, later served as its third president, playing a significant role in regional and international affairs. Notably, he supported South Africa’s complaint against Israel at the International Court of Justice, condemning Germany’s rejection of the case.
