Charly Boy’s Epic Airport Intervention: How 3,000 Bikers Rescued Eedris Abdulkareem from 50 Cent

Renowned Nigerian singer Charly Boy recently shared an extraordinary tale of his intervention in a confrontation between fellow artist Eedris Abdulkareem and American rapper 50 Cent back in 2004.
During a podcast interview on The Honest Bunch, Charly Boy revealed that he swiftly sprang into action upon receiving a distress call from Abdulkareem, who reported being manhandled by 50 Cent’s security at Murtala Muhammed Airport. Without hesitation, Charly Boy rallied a massive convoy of 3,000 motorcyclists to storm the airport and assist Abdulkareem.
Upon arrival, Charly Boy was briefed on the situation by Abdulkareem and proceeded to confront 50 Cent directly. Recounting the dramatic moment, Charly Boy expressed, “Back then, if I waved my hand at the motorcycle park, all the motorcyclists would follow me. So, I stormed the airport with almost 3000 bikes.”
Abdulkareem explained that the altercation occurred when he attempted to occupy a first-class seat on the same plane as 50 Cent, only to be forcibly removed by the rapper’s security team, resulting in physical violence towards both Abdulkareem and his bouncer. 50 Cent was made aware of the incident, and after hearing Abdulkareem’s account, Charly Boy boldly confronted the rapper inside his SUV amidst the escalating tension at the airport.
In a heated exchange, Charly Boy condemned 50 Cent’s actions, declaring, “You are beating my people in their own country? You came to Nigeria and you are beating my people.” Ultimately, 50 Cent offered an apology in response to Charly Boy’s confrontation, diffusing the volatile situation.
The remarkable story of Charly Boy’s audacious intervention at the airport serves as a testament to his unwavering loyalty and support for his fellow Nigerian artists, underscoring the power of unity and standing up for justice in the face of adversity.
