NPFL: Remo Stars not scared of Enyimba – Head coach, Ogunmodede boasts

Remo Stars head coach, Daniel Ogunmodede is upbeat on the chances of his team against Enyimba in Wednesday’s (today) Nigeria Premier Football League matchday five encounter.

The Sky Blue Stars will look to bounce back from last Saturday’s 3-0 disappointing loss to Bendel Insurance when they host the eight-time champions in Ikenne.

Enyimba, who are the most successful side in the history of the NPFL, were in devastating form in their last game, edging out Kwara United 3-0 in Aba.

The People’s Elephant also have a lot of quality players in their team with a sound technical bench led by former Super Eagles winger, George Finidi.

Despite Enyimba’s huge pedigree, Ogunmodede is however confident his team can claim a famous win against the Aba giants.

“Enyimba, we know how they play, we have watched a lot of their games. No doubt they are one of the top sides in the country. They are a household name,” Ogunmodede said in a short video posted on the club’s official Twitter handle.

“In spite of that, we don’t have any special approach to the game. We just go in with a proper mentality and that we are playing at home.

“We want to win and maintain our status on the table. We want to come out as champions. We need to beat Enyimba and I believe we can do that,” he added.
