Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu has congratulated the Super Eagles of Nigeria on their victory against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa.
Nigeria in a nervy, tension-filled competition on Thursday night won South Africa in a penalty shootout after the match ended 1-1 in regulation time.
With the victory, the legendary Super Eagles have booked their place in the finals of the tournament.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Levinus Nwabughiogu, Kalu said that the team has shown commendable resilience in their previous outings, charging them to stay even more compact in the finals.
The Deputy Speaker who noted that the players have made all Nigerians happy with their winning streak also charged them to be focused on winning the trophy, saying that it is now in their court having scaled through all hurdles to reach the peak.
Kalu assured the Super Eagles of the National Assembly’s support.
