President Tinubu Expresses Condolences on the Passing of Dr. Cairo Ojougboh

President Bola Tinubu has expressed his deep sadness at the passing of Dr. Cairo Ojougboh, a former Executive Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

A statement released by Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, confirmed that Dr. Ojougboh passed away on Wednesday. Ngelale noted that Dr. Ojougboh had previously served as a member of the House of Representatives from 2003 to 2007, and was also a prominent leader within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta.

Tragically, Dr. Ojougboh collapsed and passed away while watching the semifinal match between the Super Eagles and Bafana Bafana of South Africa.

President Tinubu extended his heartfelt condolences to the Ojougboh family, as well as to the government and people of Delta in this difficult time. He conveyed his prayers for the peaceful repose of the departed, and urged the family to draw strength from God and the cherished memories and legacy of the late Dr. Ojougboh.
