The Katsina State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has set up a special committee to investigate suspected anti-party activities during the recent Sabuwa/Faskari/Kankara Federal Constituency rerun election.

The committee, led by former Deputy Governor Alhaji Tukur Jikamshi, aims to address grievances against members believed to have acted against the party’s interests in the election. They will conduct a thorough inquiry, gathering evidence and testimonies from concerned members.

During the committee’s inauguration at the Katsina Government House, the state’s party chairman, Alhaji Sani Aliyu, outlined its mandate, which includes reviewing the party’s performance in the rerun election, probing allegations of anti-party activities, verifying claims, and identifying those involved.

Governor Malam Dikko Radda expressed confidence in the committee’s impartiality and pledged to abide by its findings. The committee has a two-week timeframe to submit its findings and recommendations to the state party leadership.

The committee comprises prominent members, including Former Deputy Governor Alhaji Tukur Jikamshi, Senator Abdulaziz Yar’adua, Fadila Dikko, State Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice Alhaji Suleiman Mohammed Namadi, Secretary Katsina APC, and elder statesman Alhaji Kabir Maska.

Chairman Tukur Jikamshi expressed gratitude for the confidence placed in the committee and pledged their commitment to fulfilling their responsibilities with honesty and diligence, in accordance with the party’s constitution.
