NNPP’s Rep. MB Shehu Grants N5 Million to Party Supporters in Kano

The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) representative for Fagge Federal Constituency in Kano State, Muhammad Bello Shehu, has given out N5 million to his party supporters as startup grants.

During an event in Fagge Local Government area, the lawmaker, also known as MB Shehu, distributed the cash to show appreciation for the supporters’ dedication during the 2023 elections. He stated that the funds were intended to help them start or enhance their businesses.

The beneficiaries received varying amounts, with 16 individuals receiving N200,000 each, 7 receiving N100,000, and 20 others receiving N50,000 each. The empowerment program, commencing in Fagge A and Yanmata Gabas wards, will continue monthly and is financed from the lawmaker’s monthly salary until December.

MB Shehu clarified that this initiative was not a constituency project but rather a personal contribution from his earnings to reward the hard work and dedication of his supporters.

Furthermore, he expressed his commitment to implementing more impactful projects and enhanced empowerment schemes in the coming months for the betterment of his constituents.

In a supporting statement, Mustapha Isa, an associate of the lawmaker, affirmed that MB Shehu prioritizes the welfare of his people, promising more beneficial projects aimed at improving their socioeconomic status.
