President Bola Tinubu vows to transform Nigeria into a self-sufficient food producer and net exporter of agricultural products during his administration. Tinubu expressed this commitment while meeting with a delegation from the Global Tijaniyya Movement at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Additionally, President Tinubu highlighted the significance of spiritual pursuits in nation-building and affirmed his support for religious activities. Stressing the importance of collaboration between political and spiritual leaders, he underscored the need for unity among the people to advance the nation’s interests.
Regarding agriculture, President Tinubu outlined initiatives to enhance agricultural productivity through the expansion of farmlands, provision of low-interest loans to farmers, and investments in irrigation infrastructure. He emphasized a dedicated focus on equipping hospitals with modern equipment and providing healthcare professionals with training, aiming to ensure social welfare for every citizen, including comprehensive health insurance coverage.
Tinubu further emphasized the aggressive mechanization of agricultural processes and the introduction of thousands of tractors to greatly expand food production. He stressed the principles of productivity as integral to societal progress.
Commending the Global Tijaniyya Movement for their support and prayers, President Tinubu emphasized the value of collective efforts in building a prosperous Nigeria. In response, Khalifa Muhammad Mahe Niass, speaking on behalf of the delegation, praised President Tinubu’s unwavering commitment to Nigeria’s peace, progress, and stability while expressing the fervent support and prayers of the Global Tijaniyya Movement for the Nigerian leader.
