The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State held a Ward Delegates Congress across the 192 wards in the 18 local governments on Monday. The congress aimed to elect five delegates from each ward, with the State Acting Chairman, Jarrett Tenebe, confirming the process’s adherence to the amended electoral act.
Tenebe announced that the five delegates comprised three males and two females, totaling 960 delegates elected across the state. These delegates are tasked with affirming the outcome of the direct governorship primary.
The party’s acting chairman emphasized the commitment to providing a level playing ground for the 12 aspirants, ensuring a peaceful and fair primary. He also clarified that the party has not endorsed any of the cleared aspirants or authorized any entity to do so.
Tenebe urged party members to uphold the party’s values and ideals as the election process unfolds.
