Borno Governor Rewards 810 Volunteer Fighters with Cash and Food

Babagana Zulum, the governor of Borno, distributed cash and food provisions to 810 volunteers who are actively combating Boko Haram alongside the military and other security agencies in Bama Local Government Area. The dispersal of aid took place at the Palace of the Shehu of Bama, Umar Shehu-Kyari on Tuesday.

During the distribution, Governor Zulum lauded the volunteers for their dedication and sacrifices in safeguarding the state, emphasizing the government’s unwavering support for their initiatives. He expressed that the purpose of this assistance was to motivate the volunteers to persist in their efforts to restore complete peace and security throughout the state.

“We acknowledge the immense efforts you exert in aiding the military’s fight against insurgency and other criminal activities. We commend you and encourage you to remain steadfast,” stated Governor Zulum, assuring the volunteers of the government’s continuous backing. He further assured them of the government’s commitment to prioritizing their well-being and pledged ongoing support.
