Ghana’s President Akufo-Addo Implements Cabinet Changes to Tackle Economic Challenges

Ghanaian President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo made significant alterations to his cabinet by replacing the finance minister and other key ministers in a recent reshuffle.
The presidency released a statement announcing the appointment of Mohammed Amin Adams, a minister of State at the Finance Ministry, as the new finance minister, succeeding Ken Ofori-Atta.
Expressing gratitude, the president personally commended the departing ministers and deputy ministers for their dedication, competence, and hard work during their tenure.

The reshuffle comes in the wake of Ghana’s struggle with a severe economic crisis, characterized by soaring inflation and living costs.
Notably, the government secured a substantial 3 billion U.S. dollar loan from the International Monetary Fund in May to bolster its economic reform efforts, which are now showing promising outcomes.
