The Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Owan Enoh, has extended his congratulations to Nigeria’s Super Eagles for their notable ascent of 14 places in the latest FIFA men’s ranking. The team, now positioned 28th globally, has also secured the third spot in Africa. Leading the continent are Morocco and Senegal, followed by Nigeria, Egypt, and Cote d’Ivoire.

Expressing his elation, Enoh took to Twitter and urged the Super Eagles to sustain their commendable performance, emphasizing his pride in their achievements. His tweet lauded the team’s phenomenal climb, marking their highest ranking in 16 years since 2008.

“Congratulations to the Super Eagles of Nigeria for moving up 14 positions on the FIFA ranking ladder,” he posted. “You have gone from 42nd to 28th place, which is your highest placement in 16 years since 2008. We are proud of your accomplishments and hope you continue to soar. Keep up the good work, dear Super Eagles of Nigeria.”
