The Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has strongly criticized the recent allegations made by five members of the House of Representatives against Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa. The federal lawmakers loyal to the late Governor Rotimi Akeredolu accused Aiyedatiwa of fostering political discord and marginalizing the party’s leadership in the state.
In response, the state Chairman of the party, Ade Adetimehin, rebuked the allegations as baseless and detrimental to the party. He emphasized that the party maintains a positive relationship with the governor and highlighted their recent constructive discussions on strengthening party unity and ensuring victory in the upcoming elections.
Adetimehin further emphasized the absence of any bitterness between the governor and the party structures in the state, asserting that the chapter’s development is central to all decisions and activities. He also expressed gratitude to two APC federal lawmakers for discrediting the allegations and called for solidarity in supporting honorable initiatives.
This development reflects the ongoing political dynamics in Ondo State and the efforts to maintain party cohesion amidst differing perspectives.
