Akwa United’s Coach Upbeat as New Signings Gear Up for NPFL’s Second Phase

Umar Abdullahi, the interim coach of Akwa United, radiates optimism regarding the club’s recent acquisitions during the mid-season transfer. He firmly believes that the new players will elevate the team’s performance, positioning them for a strong finish to the season.
The Promise Keepers have bolstered their squad with the addition of seven fresh talents, with former captain Ubong Friday leading the pack. Other notable signings include Mustapha Dan-Azumi from Gombe United, Suleiman Sani from Wikki Tourists, Daniel Japhet from EFCC, and Damilare Shodipo from Stormers FC.
Akwa United is set to clash with Rangers at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium this Sunday, aiming to climb from their current 16th position on the NPFL table.
