Renowned Nigerian actor and comedian, Oluwaseyitan Aletile, popularly known as Seyi Law, has affirmed that he would continue to support President Bola Tinubu’s leadership, even in the face of prevailing economic challenges in the country.
Drawing a parallel between Nigeria’s current economic hardships and the biblical narrative of the Israelites’ journey through the wilderness, Seyi Law expressed his unwavering commitment to stand by a leader who he believes will guide the nation to a better future, likening it to sticking with “a Moses through the wilderness to Canaan rather than eat meat and drink wine in slavery in Egypt at the expense of my children’s future.”
In a recent extensive social media post, Seyi Law lamented the lack of effective communication from government agencies regarding their agendas, efforts, and actions, emphasizing the need for greater transparency and accountability. He urged fellow Nigerians to actively engage with their state governments, advocating for a shift from overreliance on the Federal Government for all needs.
Furthermore, the comedian emphasized the importance of long-term sustainability over immediate gratification, cautioning against policies that may provide temporary relief while jeopardizing the nation’s future. He stressed the need to “reset, rebuild, and sustain our future” rather than resorting to short-term solutions that entail borrowing from the future.
Addressing potential critics of his unwavering support for Tinubu, Seyi Law boldly declared, “if another election was held tomorrow, I would still vote Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” underscoring his steadfast faith in the leadership despite the adversities faced by many in the country.
