The Nigerian Meteorological Agency, NiMet, has forecasted hazy and cloudy conditions across Nigeria from Monday to Wednesday. NiMet predicts moderate dust haze with limited visibility in the northern and North Central states, except for patches of clouds in specific areas. In the South, patches of clouds are anticipated, with isolated thunderstorms expected in certain states during the afternoon and evening hours.

On Tuesday, NiMet expects similar conditions in the northern and North Central regions, with isolated thunderstorms forecasted for several states in the South later in the day. On Wednesday, the agency foresees slight dust haze in the northern region, with patches of clouds and isolated thunderstorms expected in various southern states.

NiMet has advised individuals with respiratory issues to wear face masks, especially during the present weather conditions. It also recommends that children and the elderly wear warm clothing at night and take measures to protect their skin, eyes, and lips. Additionally, NiMet has advised airline operators to obtain updated weather reports and forecasts for effective operational planning.

Overall, NiMet’s forecasts highlight the need for precaution and preparation amidst the expected hazy and cloudy weather conditions.
