Bendel Insurance’s Odigie Confident of Bounce Back After Sporting Lagos Loss

Monday Odigie, the technical adviser of Bendel Insurance, remains optimistic about the team’s resurgence following a 1-0 defeat to Sporting Lagos. The Benin Arsenals faced a setback at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos on Sunday but Odigie is determined to steer the team back on track.

Odigie conveyed his assurance that Bendel Insurance will learn from their errors and elevate their performance as the league’s second round unfolds. In a post-match interview, he articulated, “The game has come and gone, we will continue to work on our mistakes and continue to correct them and get better.”

Acknowledging that even thorough preparation can be undermined by errors, Odigie maintained a focus on rectifying the team’s shortcomings. This defeat pushed Bendel Insurance down to the eighth spot on the league table, but Odigie is resolute in his belief that the team will rediscover its winning form.

Looking ahead, the Benin Arsenals will face Enyimba on matchday 21 in Benin, presenting an opportunity for a resurgence.
