The aftermath of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary in Edo State remains a subject of controversy. The APC Renewed Hope Coalition in the state is calling for unity among all aspirants who participated in the primary, urging them to support Honourable Dennis Idahosa as the chosen candidate.

Chairman of the group, Steven Jim, emphasized the need for party members to unite behind the primary’s winner. He stressed that a unified front is crucial for securing victory in the upcoming September 21 governorship election. Jim highlighted the significance of rallying around the chosen candidate, stating that it is essential for the party’s success.

Jim firmly stated, “Edo State is APC, and APC is Edo State. We must unite to reclaim our state. To achieve this, we must stand as one and support our governorship candidate, Honourable Dennis Idahosa.” He recognized Idahosa’s emergence as a testament to the APC’s commitment to promoting excellence and competence in governance.

Furthermore, Jim applauded the APC for selecting candidates based on qualifications, vision, and capacity to serve the people effectively. He commended the governorship primary electoral committee, led by Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, and the National Working Committee for their commitment to upholding democratic principles.
