Chimaobi Igwilo, a promising talent from Rangers U-17 team, is eyeing triumph in the inaugural Nigeria Premier Football League youth league. Igwilo is confident in the team’s abilities to succeed in the upcoming playoffs but acknowledges the necessity of hard work to achieve their goal.
“We have been putting in a lot of effort to ensure that we proudly represent our state in the national playoff in Benin,” Igwilo shared with Rangers media. “It’s going to be a challenging championship, but with the grace of God, we believe we will emerge victorious.”
Rangers will be contending against formidable opponents such as Plateau United, Remo Stars, Katsina United, and Rivers United for the coveted top prize. The championship playoffs are slated to commence at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City on February 23. In their first game of the competition on February 26, Rangers will clash with Katsina United.
