Nigeria will be attending its first Paris International Agricultural Show, which will be held from February 24 to March 3, 2024.

The Embassy of France in Nigeria announced Nigeria’s participation in the 60th edition of the show in a statement on Wednesday by Onyinye Madu, its press officer.

“Marking a significant debut, Nigeria will grace the Paris International Agricultural Show with the inaugural Pride of Nigeria Pavilion. This Pavilion will serve as a vibrant showcase, spotlighting an extensive array of Nigerian agricultural products, including cocoa, palm oil, cassava, yam, sorghum, cashew nuts, maize, millet, and honey.

“This endeavour seeks to propel Nigerian agricultural excellence onto the global stage, amplifying the nation’s abundant agricultural heritage and untapped potential,” the statement noted in part.

Daily Trust reports that the Paris International Agricultural Show provides a platform for Nigeria to foster meaningful engagements with international stakeholders, delve into promising trade prospects, and spotlight groundbreaking innovations within the agricultural domain.

It also serves as a testament to the growing partnership between France and Nigeria in the agricultural industry.

The Nigerian delegation will be led by the Minister of Agriculture and Food Safety, Senator Abubakar Kyari.

Joining the minister are eminent Nigerian agribusiness titans such as Flour Mills Nigeria, BUA Group and Dangote Industries, alongside prominent banking institutions including Access Bank and Zenith Bank, underscoring the robust presence of Nigeria’s agribusiness sector at the event.
