Senator Monday Okpebholo Emerges Winner of Edo APC Primary Elections

Another Edo APC Aspirant Demands Certificate Of Return

Senator Monday Okpebholo has secured victory in the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary elections in Edo State. He garnered 12,433 votes, surpassing 11 other contenders in the rerun election, which was ordered after the initial contest was deemed inconclusive by the party leadership.

Among the three winners of the cancelled shadow poll held last Saturday, Senator Monday Okpebholo emerged triumphant. The final results were officially announced in Benin by the new Chairman of the election committee and Governor of Cross River State, Bassey Otu, subsequent to the collation of results from the 18 Local Government Areas.

Reportedly, Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State was substituted with Otu, who indicated his unavailability for the rerun election, according to the APC.
