Chelsea Eyes Victor Boniface as Potential Alternative to Osimhen

Chelsea Football Club is exploring the option of signing Victor Boniface as they intensify their quest for a new striker in the upcoming transfer window.
Amidst ongoing talks about potentially securing Victor Osimhen from Napoli, the club is diversifying its options considering the unpredictability of the transfer market.
Despite Osimhen’s recent contract renewal, speculations continue to swirl around his departure from the Italian giants, prompting Chelsea to weigh their alternatives.
In the pursuit of bolstering their attacking lineup after a lackluster season, Chelsea faces stiff competition from Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal for the coveted 25-year-old Osimhen.
Renowned transfer expert Christian Falk from BILD reports Chelsea’s interest in Boniface as a promising prospect for their striking force.
In a statement to CaughtOffside, Falk mentioned, “Nicolas Jackson’s struggle to address Chelsea’s striker deficiency might find a solution through Victor Boniface,” shedding light on the player’s journey from Saint-Gilloise to Bayer Leverkusen in 2023 for €16m with a contract running until 2028 and a current market value of €40m.
While Chelsea’s interest in Boniface is appealing, Bayer Leverkusen seems reluctant to part ways with the talented forward, adding a layer of complexity to the potential transfer negotiations.
Despite currently being sidelined due to an abductor injury, Boniface has showcased formidable performance this season, netting 16 goals and providing eight assists across 23 competitive matches for Bayer Leverkusen.
