Police Recruitment: PSC Ensures Fairness for JAMB/CBT Candidates

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has reassured the 171,956 candidates selected for the Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) Computer Based Test (CBT) of fair treatment during the upcoming assessment.
Set to take place on March 5th and 6th, 2024, across all 36 states of Nigeria and the Federal Capital Territory, the test aims to identify qualified individuals for police service.
In a statement by Ikechukwu Ani, the Head of Press and Public Relations, the PSC emphasized its commitment to merit-based selection, in compliance with Federal Character Commission guidelines for equal representation.
Dr. Solomon Arase, the Commission’s Chairman and retired Inspector General of Police, affirmed that the recruitment process will prioritize merit at every stage.
Candidates are urged to verify their application status and check for specific test details on the recruitment portal apply.policerecruitment.gov post-screening.
Upon the conclusion of the recruitment drive, the nation will benefit from additional police personnel dedicated to combatting crime and ensuring public safety.
Moreover, the PSC informed that the 43,778 successful candidates in specialized roles will undergo practical assessments on a later date, to be communicated soon.
