Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the banned Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), is facing terrorism charges brought forth by the Federal Government. Today, Kanu’s trial is set to resume at the Federal High Court in Abuja with a new legal team taking the helm in his defense. The freshly appointed team, led by Alloy Ejimakor, will handle the 7-count charges against Kanu, replacing the previous representation of Chief Mike Ozekhome SAN and Ifeanyi Ejiofor.
The reason for this change remains undisclosed at present. The courtroom is already populated with lawyers and supporters of the Biafran separatist. Stay tuned for further updates.
